I got into the water on Saturday.

The water had warmed up a bit lately but then dipped for the weekend.

No matter, I was treading water outside instead of sitting behind a desk and that's the important thing!

After looking about for the best conditions I ended up where I started and enjoyed some classic Huntington/Newps summer surf conditions.

Which is to say the surf was a little walled up on the sets and the water and parking lots filled to capacity.

I road my mat for a while then changed fins switched over to my hand plane

  as the view was better on the on shore closeouts that I felt provided more bang for the buck.
