Watching it rain

I love to sit on the front porch and watch it rain.

A jacket a hot cup of tea usually a hat

Watching the snails come out and play

The local bird stop by and have a go at the worms coming up out of the grass

Hummingbirds zoom by and visit the sage.

But nothing like this

What a display that was! How do so many birds fly so close together at such high speed without incident. I found that most captivating to watch.

Just amazing. I was lucky enough to see something like this from my train seat a few weeks back but alas I saw a documentary claiming these are becoming much less frequent sights for some reason (I think they're flocks of Starlings aren't they?). It made me realise that yes we used to see these each fall where I live and that I'd not seen them for ages. I hope a solution is found as it is an amazing sight.
