WEATHER AND POSSIBLE SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL INTENSIFY AS IT MOVES SOUTH ACROSS THE
GREAT BASIN TO THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER VALLEY WEDNESDAY INTO
THURSDAY. THIS WILL BRING A SHARP CHANGE IN THE WEATHER TO EXTREME
SOUTHWESTERN CALIFORNIA...WITH VERY STRONG NORTHEASTERLY
WINDS...COLDER WEATHER AND A SMALL CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND
THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY AND FRIDAY.
Gardening note --
In addition to the implications to the local surf conditions I would suggest that you make arrangement's to protect any winter crops you may be growing. The strong Santa Ana's, sometimes called "the devil winds" can be hard on any new growth. A good watering would be in order and if your plants are exposed then some wind protection might be advisable too.
