Some pictures are worth a thousand words...

my pictures are less literal

but trust me on this

the drop rail pontoon (DRP) is pronounced

I can't wait to get it wet and give it a go.

(Sadly the swell doesn't look to pickup until next week)

Personally I am transfixed by the percussion using the broom (Larry Cragg).  Cragg is Young's guitar tech and has an amazing collection of guitars and amplifiers.

But what,s the deck?canvas no good for grip on decent waves,no matter the shape.

Dave, I went with the canvas deck with Paul's wax job. Plenty of grip and I don't have to bother with Vulkem!

Oh no no.Wax does not work on mats, especially when rolled up in carry-on in hot climes...they,ll end up like those Krypts, ugh.

Nobody who puts wax on the deck of their Krypt is stupid enough to roll it up Mike.

Interesting stuff this.So how do people transport waxed mats?In a ceremonial casket?I know!Portaged on narwhal horn lances by oiled Nubian servants.

I have no problem 95% of the time with no wax or nuthin'.

4% of that 5% is interesting. 1% is mysterious.
