A prime number is a whole number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself. 

The first few prime numbers are 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19 and 23...

Why am I reviewing 10th grade math with you?

Not sure really

They told me it was important

I thought I should pass it on

and it does include 23 in the sequence

so there's that

But other than that 

I don't have a clue 

as to why

I don't use much, if any, of the math I learned in school
