oops I did it again

A sudden heatwave
here in SoCal

The early morning snails
race
into the deepest darkest
corners of the garden

By 9am
the sun is in full
blast furnace
mode
causing birds
in flight
to burst
into
spontaneous
combustion

Not a pretty sight
unless it's a chicken
then well

dinner is ready...

I don't endorse
the eating of the animals
but the analogy
was too tasty
to pass up

oops I did it again

So hot
but getting cooler
unless it isn't

by the weekend
all should be
well
