It's looking a lot like Summer

I can tell because it’s foggy at the beach

Maybe burning off by the afternoon

Soon the grass, already tall from the winters rain

Will turn brown

And everyone with any sense

Will head to the beach

To escape the inland heat

Only to arrive to find

Fog, dense fog perhaps with a touch of south wind

June Gloom as far as the eye can see

The locals will snark at the tourists and wait for the evening glass off

The beach side shop owners will pray that the sun comes out

And rush ship orders of sweat shirts for the visitors

Coming for the waters
