You can get anything you want

I have always liked me some freaks

although I was too young to fully participate in the 60's

I do find that I am a "student" of the era

The music is legend,

although depending on your personal musical history

that is debateable

as it should be.

(I missed the 60's music and "came to age" during the disco era,

I'm still bitter about that...)

The movies made during the 60's were also very interesting

from a sociological perspective,

as they reflect the changing tide of the era...

Here is a little something to watch

while the turkey cooks

You will be singing the title track for the next three days

PS.  Please don't go to the mall today, take a nice walk instead

I was there, and now I'm 64 years old. But I think it's a good trade off.

I really, really love this post! I was born the year Nixon got impeached and my how times have changed! You were spot on about the films as well. I love movies so I always find it interesting to see one that I have never seen before. It provides perspective and it is doing so from the era in which the movie genuinely time-capsuled itself! I love old movies from the 40's and 50's. There were less people on the planet and places were not even on maps yet. Ok, I will stop ranting here, but I just wanted to say that your post was really deep man! Dig it!
