a thick marine layer this morning

and the scent of sage is in the air

bringing back the memory of a thousand

summer mornings

no it's not about the shark at the pier

the sharks have always been there

the real menace is the snakes

I have been snaked at the pier

more times than I can count

and I can count pretty high
