has headed to the beach

to escape the inland heat

Only to arrive to find

in the last mile or so

dense fog with a touch of south wind

June Gloom as far as the eye can see

The locals will snark at the tourists

and wait for the evening glass off

The beach side shop owners will pray that the sun comes out

And rush ship orders of sweat shirts for the visitors
