It will be a cold day in SoCal when it rains in July

 but it wasn't so much

Just a little bit of odd reality

Some tropical moisture

by way of Arizona

to go with 

all the south swell

A little too south

truth be told

but great paddling practice

for when the real 

surf season starts

until then areas of nocturnal coastal

cloudiness will continue
