Fog and Sage

Fall is my favorite season
the tourist hordes have gone
the water is still warm
the NW swells
mix it up with
waning SW energy
to produce
the best surf
for my little stretch
of beach

Ahh but the Spring
Spring has a combo
all it's own
the coastal sage
is blooming it's guts out
and the moist coastal fog
transmits the pungent scent
that so perfectly defines
the region

The GNW has
rain or very heavy fog
depending
and the
Redwoods are
Magnificent

But for socal
it's
fog and sage
