It's in the aire

 

early morning low clouds

even though it's been warm lately

we are on the back side of that now

it's still hot but now we call it seasonal

along the coast we have kept the marine layer

and a decent breeze in the afternoons

this morning as I drink my coffee

and blankly stare out into the fog

I am able to feel the fall

feel it to my bones

in an hour that feeling will be gone

we will be warm again

but right now

the coffee is warm

the air is cool and moist

and the promise of fall

is in the air
