Soup Weather - new soup but reheated
I am writing this morning from the front porch
wearing long pants and socks.
Zut, alors!
The last in a series of unseasonal heat waves has lessened
The weathermen are hinting
at a remote possibility
of a slight chance
of rain for the weekend
We enter into the part of the year I refer to as "Soup Weather"
This time of the year
has sweet and sour properties
we lose the warm ocean water but gain the mighty north west swells
the summer garden in all its delicious glory fades but is replaced by the greens that do so well in the fall
We have our preferences but that's all it they are
Small clouds in our small mind
Let them pass
