the water becoming
as we drift
gravitationally attached
to this rock
hurling thru
space
slightly lulled
by a "fools spring"
we March ahead
toward
an inch or two
of rain this week
we need the rain
once again we are only at the half way mark
of a normal season
All the rain in these parts
Drains to Bay
returning to the sea
The important water
falls as snow
up in the Sierras
once winter is over
the giant snow cone
on the mountains
melts
trickles down
the water becoming
the primary building block
of all the new life
next spring
as we drift
gravitationally attached
to this rock
in a small
south west drainage
west of the mountains
all of it
hurling thru
space
