It's clear like a bell
Winter is over
the wheel has turned
spring has arrived
a bumper crop of rain
throwing out leaves and flower buds
like nobody's business
The spring prankster
perhaps a rabbit
has been busy
germinating seeds
hiding painted eggs
and stirring chocolate
We have chopped off
an hour of sunlight
off of the morning
tacking it onto
the evening and
deluded ourselves
into thinking
that the day
is actually longer
small cosmopolitan butterflies
migrate northward
in the millions
moving as part of the Dow
they are fortunately
ignorant
of our foolishness
