Rain

I hesitate to call it rain
as it is somewhat of a insult to
real rain

but still

the marine layer was deep enough
to cause some
precipitation

and this morning
in the predawn darkness
everything is wet

and the cat is
upset

which is
perhaps
a truer
measurement

of it

but for me
the streetlights are out
and the cloud layer
brings a
welcome
quietness

to my morning
rambles

PS - some rain, perhaps real rain on the Wednesday night into Thursday and the weekend forecasts here in SoCal.
