Children of the Sun

The weather has changed
into the normal summer pattern
as soon as my vacation ended

but no changing that
so I am just enjoying
a nice summer swelter
while I water the tomatoes

They say
there is a chance
well there is always
a chance

but

they say we might
get some
thunderstorms

I love a good
summer thunderstorm

the rain
such large drops
coupled with the heat
is fascinating

The tropics are
quite active
which
to my way
of thinking
how the tropics
should be

Hopefully
we
will
get
some
surf
