Let's call it Fall

We have had the summer

and dispite what Bruce says

it's not endless

We have had the end of summer cool down

and the blistering heat wave that always follows

the back to school sales

have come and reclothed

a bunch of kids that would

be happier

if they could stay at home

and play video games

this being an election year

we are withstanding a

nonstop bombardment

of promises and lies

and hope that good times are ahead

(please register and vote)

But this mornings walk

was under cloudy skies

at a resonable temperature

with the smell of the ocean

on a lite breeze

Let's just call it the Fall

and enjoy the season
