A cool evening breeze

rattles dry leaves

still on the tree

The nighttime temps are cooling
and while we are still months away
from any real rain
it's definitely Fall

Summer dinner salads give way
to bowls of soup
to fill the belly
and warm the soul

The last of the south swells
fill in and wash across the summer sandbar
soon to be replaced
by northwest swells
offshore winds
and booties
