The Summer of Sirens

slowly disappears

The weather is trying to reach

Fall parameters

It's hard to get into the Halloween Sprit

with heatwave temperatures

and offshore winds filling the canyons

Speaking of All Hollows Eve, Samhain or

the multi day Dia De Los Muertos festivities

my usual celebration consists of

eating my weight in peanut M&M's

This year on the advice of my cardiologist

I have been abstaining

which leaves me nothing to celebrate

other than the seasons passing
