 the marine layer

a group of clouds

part of the ocean's plan

seeking to reclaim

the coast from the continent

is beating a hasty retreat this morning

from the inland valleys

but at the beaches

the combat is

never too far off

the south wind blows

damp air piles up

and two grains of the land

surrenders to the sea

the battle over the

land mass and it's edges

continues
