Late Night and Early Morning Low Clouds

 Time to pack up and head home to Pacoima

The air smells of fall

school clothes and new socks

the big retailers are adding a dash of cinnamon

to everything

"pumpkinizing" 

as it's known in the trades

trying to sell 

the scratch

for some primitive seasonal itch. 

Locally, areas of night and morning fog

and low clouds

finally bringing temperatures

down to cinnamony seasonal temperatures

and if the lower temps

cuts back on the

temperature sensitive lifecycle

of ants and mosquitoes 

so much the better.

Now where are my Uggs?
