it's Friday

sitting this morning

providing my professional protection services

whilst also serving as a hot rock

for his majesty

the cat

who is curled up

in my lap

like a furry

cinnamon roll

I am thankful for the

cooldown

after several unseasonably

warm days

The air is both cool

and moist

two things I have

dearly missed

these last

few afternoons

and as

the sky lightens

from black

to a progression

of blues

and as the stars

twinkle and fade

I'm happy

it's a Friday
